Valet: A Jack.

Value: The worth of a hand in relation to its chances of winning the pot.

Value Bet: To bet with the goal of being called by one or more weaker hands (instead of getting the other players to fold).

Variance: A technical term which basically is a measure of a player's winning and losing swings. The higher a player's variance (aggressive players), the larger his bankroll should be.

Video Poker: A type of computerized poker game based on draw poker.
