Poker Rating Categories Defined

Each poker room has been rated in these five main categories on a scale of 1 to 10. Each of the poker rooms also has an overall rating which is a simple average of its five category scores. The five rating categories are:

Players - usually means the amount of soft competition you will find; also takes into account the total number of players you will find online at any given time.

Games - the variety and table stakes of poker games offered, as well as enough opponents to play them; includes the opportunity to play games with the pros.

Tournaments - the frequency, variety, and size of the poker tournaments held at the site, including freerolls, WSOP satellites, and special tournaments.

Software - the overall quality of the software, taking into account the speed, stability, graphics, player statistics, ease-of-use, and special features.

Support - rates the customer service department, the options for contacting them and the speed of responses; includes payment and withdrawal options (and also includes bonuses and promotions. . . don't ask me why - it just does).
