At the time of our Jet Set Poker review, the Jet Set Poker site has been live for less than a year. As with most new sites, they are trying to build their player base with freeroll tournaments and special promotions. One thing that I like about this new online poker room is that they add a really fresh look and feel to your poker playing experience - it actually feels more like entertainment and less like work than most other poker sites. They accomplish this with nice software and perhaps the best graphics (okay, I shop at vintage stores) as well as special events like the HeadHunter Challenge, the ability to play Pai Gow Poker, and special promotions and tournaments with exotic prizes.

Jet Set Poker Games and Table Stakes

Jet Set Poker currently has the following games: Texas Hold'em, Omaha, and Omaha Hi/Lo, Seven Card Stud, Stud Hi/Lo,and Pai Gow Poker! They have micro limit games with stakes of $0.01/$0.02 all the way up to $15/$30. But since their site is relatively new, they do not yet have much ring game action - most players can be found playing in tournaments (see below).

Review of JetSet Poker Tournaments

At present, JetSet Poker has A LOT more tournament action than ring game action. The majority of these players can be found in their daily freerolls (typically $25-100 prizes), but their site is starting to get decent traffic in their regular NL Hold'em tournaments and HeadHunter Challenge events. In their daily HeadHunter Challenge tournaments, players receive cash "bounties" when they eliminate an opponent (the higher the opponent is on the Tournament Leader Board, the higher his or her bounty is). They also have weekly $10,000 guarantee events and a "Big One" tournament with a growing prize pool where players can enter for just $1.

Each week, JetSet Poker holds a "Super Saturday Tournament" with a prize pool of $10,000+. They are promoting the JetSetPoker Open Caribbean Challenge 2005 to be held on the island of Curaçao in October with total prizes of at least $200,000. They also have special Pai Gow Poker tournaments on occasion.

Poker Room Software

Jetset's poker software is smooth and has groovy-vintage-modern graphics (think "The Jetsons") that make for good eye candy while playing. You get to choose your poker face at Jet Set from 58 different faces. Each face has 4 expressions which you can call into action whenever you want (for example, if you want to give away your tells or otherwise engage in psychological warfare at the table). Their lobby shows the typical information like # of players, average pot, players seeing the flop, hands per hour, etc. A cool feature is the "Last Hand History", where a player can instantly see what happened in the last hand and the previous 50 hands (with nifty graphics).

JetSet Poker Promotion Code & Jackpots

JetSet Poker offers a first time deposit bonus of 25% up to $187.50 (use promotion code: toppoker). Their poyalty program consists of JetSetPoker Go!Points, which you earn by playing raked ring games and real money tournaments. You can use your points to enter Go!Point buy-in tournaments or to buy stuff in their online store. They also have a special HeadHunter Leader Board where the top nine finishers in each month entered in a $200 freeroll tournament, and top three finishers get $100 cash. Additionally, they have High Hand Jackpots of USD $100 to the highest winning hand over a six hour JSP Jackpot period twice per day. They also hold a variety of other promotions.
