Doyles Room Poker ReviewA highlight of our Doyles Room Poker review is that you can actually play online poker against Doyle Brunson, since it's his card room. . . You might want to read a copy of his book first before taking on the legend in a real money game - you can get a free copy of his book "Super/System 2" by earning Action Points (see "Promotions" below). The site contains an interesting autobiography (click on "My Story"). Doyle's Room is a relatively new site and is growing in popularity. It has decent tournament and ring game traffic, although it is mostly limited to Hold'em. DoylesRoom.com is run by by DBPN (Doyle Brunson Poker Network), a gaming company licensed in Curacao, Netherlands Antilles. ♣ ♣ For more opinions and tips for DoylesRoom.com, be sure to read our other Doyle's Room reviews. Doyles Room Poker Ratings
Overall Doyles Room ratings based on our poker review are (out of 10):
Doyles Room Games and Table LimitsDoyles Room Poker does not yet offer a very large selection of games. Games are currently limited to Texas Hold'em, Omaha, and Omaha Hi-Lo. Table limits range from $0.02/$0.04 to $50/$100. Their card room has no limit, fixed limit, and pot limit games. Review of Doyles Room Poker TournamentsYou will find quite a few No Limit Hold'em tournaments at Doyles Room (starting every 5 or 10 minutes) - single-table, multi-table, ReBuys, Satellites, and freerolls. Like the other major online card rooms, you can also win WSOP Packages at their site. You can enter their freeroll tournaments by spending the action points you have earned. One of the coolest features offered at Doyles is their Bounty Tournament, where you compete against prose including Doyle and Todd Brunson, Mike Caro, and other of their friends such as Barry Greenstein. The player who knocks the pros out of the tournament can win up to $25,000. Doyles Room SoftwareThe poker room software (by Tribeca Tables) looks very plain and has simple graphics, but it works well enough. Live support is available at a click of the mouse and was very helpful. The card room software enables you to take player notes and add friends (or key opponents) to your Buddy List. Doyle's Room PromotionsWhen you register for a new account at Doyles Room, you need to choose which bonus you prefer: either a copy of Doyle Brunson's book "Super/System 2" (you need to first earn 10,000 Action Points), or the normal first deposit bonus (25% up to $100, or 35% up to $140 if you fund your account with NETeller). You earn Action Points by playing in real money games, including single- and multi-table tournaments. You can then use the points you accumulate for entering freeroll tournaments or towards prizes. See the Doyles Room Poker site for full details.
